    First of all the staff! It was a Monday afternoon. Wonder of they were the owners... Anyway they had amazing energy. Which is great because sometimes families need that encounter if they are on a road trip. The food was really great! After a long hike people need this kind of place. Interesting art all over the inside and a great little nook in the back for kids to look at books. Not sure if this was someone's vision all along for an amazing cozy spot, but if it was they have succeeded! ♡♡♡ go here!!!

    Slice of Rappahannock County on the way to the Shenandoah National Park. I remember when it was an Emporium and furniture store. It's amazing to see the transformation and details. What a lovely atmosphere for a meal and to pick up a local keepsake. There's even a learning center incorporated now within the renovation. The food was fair in flavor and reasonably priced. I hear breakfast is amazing. We'll get that next time.
